What Cancer Does The Red Wristband Mean

Emmaus Jerusalem

According to my guide, as many as 3 city apply for the title of Emmaus. Yesterday I was in one of them - Qubeibeh.

And since we went with a group from the local parish, do not run a group of older ladies who sang "Ave Maria" and "After the mountains, valleys," alternating with the recitation of the rosary (a bit reproachfully, looking at s. Agnes, who is visiting now Miriam and her community that does not turn on.) And while they did it in Arabic, it was impossible to resist the combination of the parish pilgrimage to Czestochowa. You can see such a church-ladies (called by some "mother church") is the international community. But I think that God looks at it fondly ...

Land belonging to the church is small. The church and adjoining the outside looks really nice:

but inside I am not far from impressed. Yes, it is pretty monumental, but ... In the main altar is a stage representing a two disciples of Jesus at the table. Figures are a little clumsy though, and on top of all that kept some of these colors, yellow-blue-pink (light was not the best and the picture came out medium):

Although the vault - the addition of red - it does not look so bad:

A in the left aisle shows "the ruins of rectangular buildings, shown as the remains of the alleged home of Cleophas, in which the student wished to accommodate the risen Christ "(as stated on my guide):

You see those dollars on the foundation? Cleopas asleep at the box office?

The small garden has a small terrace, which offers beautiful views:

Near the church there are also the foundations of medieval buildings:

among which grow a variety of plants:

the trunk of the old olive tree

see poppies? The wind blew Polishness ...

And on the wall opposite the entrance gate of evidence that there were our (indeed, the Poles clearly mark their presence in the Holy Land, for example, walking around with no flags niemałymi ... yesterday, even a Franciscan Group leader introduced with the flag of a lady in the toilet!)

in Emmaus was the first mass (with dłuuugim sermon in Arabic), after which the chairman of the Custodian of the Holy Land at the altar gave away all the breads (buns). That was nice. Once it was a treat for all. Early in the afternoon and sang vespers, after which we returned to Jerusalem.

And the day was warm and sunny - as proof: Tanning my legs:

Well, I found out that Israel can be green! Because the first visit here remember him as a golden-brown-bury. Dried by the sun. But it seems that green does not last here long. The more I am glad that I saw her.
